Webchild – feedback on article

November 2010
Earlier in the year, we received an article submission from Dr Cathy Kezelman. Cathy runs a nationwide support network dedicated to the health and wellbeing of adult survivors of child abuse and neglect. In her article, Cathy outlined what child-abuse survivors can expect when they become parents themselves. It was a worthy topic, to be sure. But as an editor, I knew the story could be so much more impactful if Cathy were willing to inject more of her own childhood experience into it. Cathy agreed, and I think the final product is one of the most powerful stories we have published all year. Cathy, if you are reading this: you were a pleasure to work with, and I so admire your cause.
